ONCE UPPON A TIME - FOR REAL

Here is a real castle as it should be !

With an ironwork gate, a venue of old trees, a tortuous path and towers topped by a bulb roof! Isn't it easy?

Voilà un vrai château bien comme il faut !

Avec un portail en ferronnerie un belle allée d'arbres centenaires, un chemin tortueux et des tourelles surmontées de bulbes, c'est pas difficile non !

SIEDLUNG HALEN BY ATELIER 5

A few weeks ago, I visited the Siedlung Halen, built in 1961
by Atelier 5 in Herrenschwanden near Bern (CH).

This concrete colony is set in the countryside, on a sunny hillside above a river.

The row houses, with patios and huge gardens are totally crazy.

They share a lot of facilities, such as a gas station, laundry, kindergarten, community center, pool, barbecue..

Judging by the painted walls, political stickers, sculptures in the gardens and Tibetan flags, I think people over there follow a kind of open state of mind.

Best place to live !
